oddalys Salcido

Oddalys Salcido is an independent performing dance artist based in Austin, Texas. As an interdisciplinary performer, she has worked professionally with ARCOS in multiple projects such as the production of “Ether Junk” in 2019, “I/WE” in collaboration with Austin Classical Guitar in 2020, and most recently completing a series of “In the Ether” during the summer of 2021. Salcido was a company member with Moonwater Dance Project based in Chicago, IL. from 2020-2021. She holds a BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University and toured as a Kilgore College Rangerette to Hawaii, The Bahamas, and New York. As a choreographer, Salcido has presented her dance film “from the inside” at DanceWorks Chicago’s DanceChance 2020 in collaboration with filmmaker, Marissa Traver. She is passionate about experimenting with contemporary movement as a tool for imagining new realities.

Reese Maultsby

Multi-faceted artist and percussionist Reese Maultsby has enjoyed an exciting start to his career. As an educator, performer, and composer, his musicianship has taken him across the world including a tour through China with the American Festival Orchestra, drumming with Holland America Lines in Europe and Mexico, and many more appearances across the US. Before moving to Texas in the Fall of 2021 to pursue his doctorate degree in percussion performance, he most recently served as the adjunct percussion professor at Washington and Lee University. Composing for multiple platforms, he is often commissioned for competitive marching percussion music and simultaneously continues to write for the contemporary percussion idiom. Currently, Reese holds degrees from Central Washington University and James Madison University. Watch his present work with the University of Texas Longhorn Band online and at any UT football game.
